Touch of Taste - Oxfordshire catering company for corporate events, parties, weddings and venues

Touch of Taste - Christmas 2007

In December 2007 Touch of Taste catered for over 16,000 guests, an increase of over 10,000 on the numbers fed in 2006.

We were the exclusive caterers in seven diverse venues, from The Bridge SE1 in the arches under London Bridge, to the Conservatory at Painshill Park (a permanent marquee site seating up to 350 guests), from The Boathouse at Dorney Lake, the 2012 Olympic rowing site, to the historic venues of Porchester Hall, Eton College and the Bodleian Library in Oxford.

With hindsight it is interesting reflecting on the statistics surrounding the longest four weeks of the year and to appreciate the scale and quantities of food prepared and consumed.

Touch of Taste fed over 16,000 guests…that's equivalent to the population of Newport Pagnell, the number of people who use the British Library every day or the quantity of chocolate bars the average person will consume in a lifetime.

In the main course league, chicken was the outright winner, with over 6,000 portions being served. Second was guinea fowl, which was enjoyed by over 2,000 guests and the traditional Turkey came only a poor third.

Christmas at all the venues proved so popular and although we have hardly recovered from the frenetic festivities, our colleagues at Business Pursuits and The Ultimate Experience have already requested this year's menus, as enquiries are coming in thick and fast. So book early to ensure your preferred date at your favourite venue.
