Touch of Taste Hits the Right Note at Stowe and Cornbury
At the end of June we catered for the Roger Hodgson concert at Stowe School. Organised by the Chance Organisation, this was our first exposure to the world of the rock concert. As well as running the VIP bar in a marquee annexed to the main arena we catered in the stunning Marble Hall for 200 VIP's with a Champagne and Canapé reception, followed by a three-course fine wine dinner in The State Dining Room and Temple House Room. Smaller parties including a wedding reception were held in the Blue Room, Temple of Venus and the Queen's Temple. The evening concluded with the after show party in the magnificent Marble Hall. Our second foray into the world of rock concert catering was at the Cornbury Music Festival, held over the first weekend of July. This was a real baptism of fire, as true to the English weather and the tradition of music festivals, it poured with rain. Despite the conditions the concert was a great success and we catered for up to 2000 VIP's per day. | News archive
